This is a reflective, rural residency
What makes this residency different to the Self-Directed Creative Residency for Men?
brother and The Creative Hub France are partnering with a local exhibition space to offer artists-in-residence the chance to showcase their work. While the residency will continue to focus on time and space for reflection, it also provides the opportunity to share previous or current work. The exhibition will run for three days, with brother supporting the event by providing space, marketing and optional curatorial assistance. This collaboration gives artists a chance to reflect on their practice while engaging with a new audience.
What’s included?
£500.00 to support your time on the residency.
A weekend exhibition supported by brother The Charity.
Independent village accommodation with Wi-Fi and bills covered- travel and food not included.
A bike on site, perfect for countryside rides or trips to the local boulangerie or farm shop.
Weekly lifts to the supermarket and lifts to and from the exhibition dates, arranged with The Creative Hub.
A bespoke brother welcome pack waiting for you on arrival, to help you settle in.
Giving back to the space
Whilst this time is for you, we ask that each resident commits to 5 hours per week help with garden and outdoor maintenance at The Creative Hub main site just 5km from the village house. This is a vital part of supporting the land and space that’s hosting your practice. These hours are a required part of the residency and contribute to shared community.
